Sugar Not Just Sugar Anymore

Arkel acted as the Consulting Engineer and Owner’s Representative during the project development and construction activities for the 17,000 MTCD sugar refinery and managers for factory operations of the facility for 5 years.

Arkel supplied the basic design engineering and specifications for all equipment, factory buildings, and electrical system; reviewed detailed design drawings; approved purchase orders for equipment; coordinated material shipments; monitored construction; and assisted in negotiation of construction contracts.

Arkel’s scope of work as Factory Managers after construction included the day-to-day and general management services, as well as all expatriate personnel, and training of all factory personnel.
