Arkel Realty started its first development in 1994 developing a unique, upscale private subdivision in Baton Rouge. From those small beginnings Arkel Realty has grown as the rest of the Arkel companies have.
Currently the Realty Group has several projects under construction or in management. We have covered the gambit from raw land development, conversion of distressed property, to ownership in large-scale office buildings and multi-use buildings.
One of our current projects is 232 Third Street in downtown Baton Rouge. Utilizing Federal and State Tax credits we are transforming a historic shell building in to a LEED certified, multi-use building that recently won a Good Growth Coalition Award as one of the premier buildings in Baton Rouge.
Recently, we completed a 60,000 square foot commercial office project in Baton Rouge that has been sub-divided and sold as condominium units. This project is typical of an Arkel development where we strive to maximize long-term value and highest utilization of our properties.
