Arkel offers two areas of core competency for food services. Through our joint venture with Chef John Besh, Arkel Besh provides time tested and proven contingency food service solutions to government agencies and commercial organizations during times of disaster. Following Hurricanes Katrina, Gustav we have provided over 1,000,000 meals to victims and first responders throughout devastated areas along the gulf coast. Most recently, the Arkel Besh team mobilized to southeast Texas where we prepared and served 357,000 hot meals over eleven days. Arkel Besh also provides sustained catering operations for the longer duration missions in remote regions.

Through Arkel Food Services, the Arkel Group owns and operates Area Development Agreement rights for Lafayette, Baton Rouge, Jefferson Parish, and the North Shore for our expanding – award winning Papa Murphy's pizza franchise. With six straight years of winning BEST Pizza Chain in America by JD Powers and Associates – the proof is in the dough in this case.
Our unique “Take and bake” experience is being well received across Louisiana. To date, we have opened 10 stores and have plans to develop another 20 locations.
