International Making it possible

Al Anbar Province Power Generation

Arkel International was contracted by MEF I for Power Generation and Operations & Maintenance services at Al -Taqaddum Air Base, Iraq in April 2005. The scope of work included provision of new, operating generators, the supply of new power units, and maintaining over 100 U.S. government-owned generators. Arkel expanded our service to include a generator repair facility for AL Anbar Province .

Upon contract award, Arkel deployed service technicians the following day to Al Taqaddum Air Base and within 10 days Arkel repaired 26 non-operational Life Support Area (LSA) generators spread across the base -- restoring power and air condition to U.S. service members.

Once the critical repairs were met and the lease power units were installed, Arkel began repairing a USG-owned fleet of over 100 broken and cannibalized generators sitting in scrap yards left for dead. (DRMO) Of the 105 units in the scrap yard over 50% of the units were repaired and returned to service saving the U.S. government millions of dollars by avoiding the need to purchase and transport new power units.
