In 2003 Arkel was called upon to facilitate the transport of GE generation equipment from the border of Iraq to the Baghdad International Airport. As one of the early firms operating in Iraq we coordinated the movements and payment of local vendors.

These units served as the back-up power to the vital transportation link for the Baghdad region. Without a hitch the large units arrived safely into Baghdad.
