One of Arkel’s first commercial IT jobs was in Iraq in late 2003. Arkel was tasked with installing Parsons telecommunications and internet infrastructure at Tadji base just outside of Baghdad.

Scope was to supply all materials , equipment, and initial service to allow for up to 20 users of high bandwidth internet connectivity and 6 Voice Over Internet Protocol phone lines. Arkel was responsible to wiring Parsons offices and their living quarters. Since then we have installed dozens of similar systems in Iraq, Sudan, and Afghanistan,
